Good news for Oprah, according to Forbes her net worth is up $200 million from this time last year, to $2.9 billion. The fortunes of her once-struggling cable network OWN has been turning around steadily.
Though OWN is now generating money, it is far from the main source of Winfrey’s net worth. The bulk of her wealth comes from 25 years of very her profitable daytime talk show, plus earnings from her Harpo production company which produces and owns a stake in Dr. Phil, Rachael Ray and Dr. Oz shows (and takes a healthy cut from each). Winfrey also earns millions annually from her O Magazine and a network on Sirius XM Satellite Radio.

is interesting to note that as Oprah Winfrey gets richer she continues to give
